By the time he figured out what was going on, his throat was clogged with a turquoise smoke, a fire raged on two dimensions to the east, and he felt every drip of heat on his skin. "Consider the world over," spoke a saint donning a leather mask. Wolves surrounded them, unimpressed. The man couldn't speak, the smoke was crowding his veins like some bloody discourse. Two blinks later, he was flickering in a labyrinth garden, being washed away by a stream of nothingness.

Under a dreary gazebo, the two creatures locked eyes and met lips, claws grappling with fear and remorse. The mist around them cried in silence, and echoed in a spiral. Arms wrapped and eyes heavy, they don't know where to go from here. They hardly remember why they're there in the first place. This is all they wanted, but neither can just walk away now. A washed crackle of drowsy resonances rose from the soil and into the clouds that surrounded them.

Fade away in cursory beams
Tear my reality by its seams
Let me drown in aviary dreams
Where winged cataclysms learn how to breathe
